Europe comprises 55 countries and territories; some 710,000,000, or about 11% of the world's population with probably 94 major languages. There are 12 countries with significant Muslim populations and another 5 with a well-established Islam presence. About 5% of the EU (25 countries in the European Union which alone have 21 official languages) identify themselves as Muslims. The U.N. estimates Europe will be 55% Muslim by 2040.
