Why don't Christians respond? Cool that Muslims leave so many comments, but where is the Christian response? This is a Christian site, or? People like Nazneen are offering good insight into Islam, or Banu on the "About Islam" site, but where are the answers from the Word of God? Christians, please respond more and offer the witness you are asked to be!

  2. Andrew says:

Let me try to humbly explain why we as followers of Jesus Christ pray for you Muslims who seek to submit to God. It is true that Muslims and Christians honor similar virtues and decry much of the godlessness present in this world (such as homosexuality or the mistreatment of those such as women). There is much ground that we share as we believe in one ultimate God who made everything, decides how we should live and has revealed himself. However we differ on how what he revealed and on how we will be spared eternal judgment for our wrong-doing. We Christians believe that God himself came to earth and lived as a human [beware of limiting God's abilities or the complexities of his nature] and himself suffered for us, dying a most horrifying death (in our place) and then came back to life (ensuring that we could have life beyond death). (See 1 Corinthians 15:1-11). We believe that "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23) and "the penalty of sin is death" (Romans 6:23) . Absolutely no one can be cleared of their wrongs by their own efforts (i.e. we're all too messed up to save ourselves by doing good things). Sadly most people are either unaware of this or too proud too recognize their faults and truly submit to God and receive His true, amazing mercy (undeserved!!). This God offers to anyone who believes that Jesus is God, took on human life, lived a sinless life (see Surah 19.19), died for us and so provided us new life, clearing us of condemnation that we deserved. (See John 3:13-19). So we pray for Muslims, as well as others who may seek or not seek God, that your eyes may be opened to see God as he truly is, and that your hearts may be humbled to accept him, so that you might know and receive his incredible mercy and worship him truly that he may be more greatly honored.

  3. Umm Khaled says:

...and here is my humble explanation as to why Muslims do not agree with the Christian beliefs. To clear it up first off, we as Muslims DO believe and love Jesus Christ son of Maryam, perhaps a whole lot more than you care to think.
"Say ye: "We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to Allah (in Islam)." (Islam meaning submission)
To think that God, may He be exalted, came to Earth as a human, lived as a human, etc is simply blasphemous and shows clear elements of the Greek and Roman mythology at play (Zeus frollicking with the human women?) God is Almighty and above all. To say that it was His Grace that made him sacrifice Himself for us is belittlement. Yes, God is Most Great in that He can do whatever He pleases, He can do anything......but why would you think to take it to that extent? Ok, I hate these kinds of philisophical debates but, He is God so he can turn Himself into a rock.....right? He can cause Himself to die and that's it.......right? This does not go according to His.......I don't want to say nature because God is above even having a nature, but I trust you understand what I am trying to say. He said: "So (it will be) thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: I did indeed create thee before, when thou hadst been nothing!'"
"He said: "So (it will be) thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: I did indeed create thee before, when thou hadst been nothing!'" Surah 19:9
"It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is." Surah 19:35

He is NOTHING like us and has no need to become part of His creation, not even to "save us". This was why He sent His prophets and messengers, to give us warning, to give us the chance to get back upon the right path. Indeed, He has no need of our meager, worthless attempts to worship Him. We don't deserve a lick of the blessings He's bestowed upon us. He IS greatness!! We as humans try SO HARD to make God into what WE want that we totally miss the point. We mess, meddle, debate, disagree and even change the scriptures to suit US when it was actually brought to us FOR us and our guidance, for the wellfare of our HereAfter. But God promised that the Qur'an (His actual words to His prophet) will be protected, and By God it has.
In regards to the "original sin" which is supposedly the basis for Christ "dying for us", did you ever think that it was a test for Adam and Eve, peace be upon them both? They were the most innocent of us all because they simply did not have actual contact with Satan before so as to know how to deal with him! They were only warned. Did Satan say to them "go eat from the tree"?? If he would have said that, then they would have definitely NOT have eaten from the tree because it would have been in DIRECT disobedience of God's orders. "We said: "O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden; and eat of the bountiful things therein as (where and when) ye will; but approach not this tree, or ye run into harm and transgression." Surah 2:35"
Satan made it appealing to them:
" Then began Satan to whisper suggestions to them, bringing openly before their minds all their shame that was hidden from them (before): he said: "Your Lord only forbade you this tree, lest ye should become angels or such beings as live for ever." Surah 7:20
They were enticed to eat from the tree and gave into it, they were human and it was the first temptation of HUMANKIND, they had no clue of the capabilities of Satan.
But look, before you condemn THEM, why don't we condemn OURSELVES instead?!?! They had JUST been created and yet, how many eons of creations, how many eons of MISTAKES have come before us and we STILL HAVE NOT LEARNED up to today?!?! WHEN will WE learn? Following the realization of their mistake they immediately turned to God in repentance. God loves those who turn to Him in repentance because it HUMBLES US and makes us realize just how much WE need HIM.
"...(And to preach thus), 'Seek ye the forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him in repentance; that He may grant you enjoyment, good (and true), for a term appointed, and bestow His abounding grace on all who abound in merit! But if ye turn away, then I fear for you the penalty of a great day" Surah 011:3
""But ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn unto Him (in repentance): For my Lord is indeed full of mercy and loving-kindness." Surah 11:90
"O our Lord! cover (us) with Thy Forgiveness - me, my parents, and (all) Believers, on the Day that the Reckoning will be established!" Surah 14:41
......I can go on and on with verses from the Qur'an on forgiveness but you would STILL never get the point. All of the prophets came with miracles bestowed upon them BY GOD so that the people may understand and submit. Jesus and Muhammad peace be upon them both, were no exceptions. Jesus, as well as other prophets peace be upon them all,
God loved us so much that he sent HIS MESSENGERS so that we may heed warning. Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him was that last warning that still continues to ring in our ears every single day of our lives and shall be until the Day of Judgement.
To end my poor attempt at debate, I will leave you with the story of Jesus peace and blessings be upon him in it's entirety:

16 And mention in the Book (the Qur'an, O Muhammad , the story of) Maryam (Mary), when she withdrew in seclusion from her family to a place facing east.

17 She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her Our Ruh [angel Jibrael (Gabriel)], and he appeared before her in the form of a man in all respects.

18 She said: "Verily! I seek refuge with the Most Beneficent (Allah) from you, if you do fear Allah."

19 (The angel) said: "I am only a Messenger from your Lord, (to announce) to you the gift of a righteous son."

20 She said: "How can I have a son, when no man has touched me, nor am I unchaste?"

21 He said: "So (it will be), your Lord said: 'That is easy for Me (Allah): And (We wish) to appoint him as a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us (Allah), and it is a matter (already) decreed, (by Allah).' "

22 So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a far place (i.e. Bethlehem valley about 4-6 miles from Jerusalem).

23 And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a date-palm. She said: "Would that I had died before this, and had been forgotten and out of sight!"

    24 Then [the babe 'Iesa (Jesus) or Jibrael (Gabriel)] cried unto her from below her, saying: "Grieve not! Your Lord has provided a water stream under you;

25 "And shake the trunk of date-palm towards you, it will let fall fresh ripe-dates upon you."

26 "So eat and drink and be glad, and if you see any human being, say: 'Verily! I have vowed a fast unto the Most Beneficent (Allah) so I shall not speak to any human being this day.'"

27 Then she brought him (the baby) to her people, carrying him. They said: "O Mary! Indeed you have brought a thing Fariya (an unheard mighty thing).

28 "O sister (i.e. the like) of Harun (Aaron) [not the brother of Musa (Moses), but he was another pious man at the time of Maryam (Mary)]! Your father was not a man who used to commit adultery, nor your mother was an unchaste woman."

29 Then she pointed to him. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"

30 "He ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: Verily! I am a slave of Allah, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet;"

31 "And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me Salat (prayer), and Zakat, as long as I live."

32 "And dutiful to my mother, and made me not arrogant, unblest.

33 "And Salam (peace) be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!"

34 Such is 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). (it is) a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute).

35 It befits not (the Majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son [this refers to the slander of Christians against Allah, by saying that 'Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allah]. Glorified (and Exalted be He above all that they associate with Him). When He decrees a thing, He only says to it, "Be!" and it is.

36 ['Iesa (Jesus) said]: "And verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him (Alone). That is the Straight Path. (Allah's Religion of Islamic Monotheism which He did ordain for all of His Prophets)." [Tafsir At-Tabari]

37 Then the sects differed [i.e. the Christians about 'Iesa (Jesus)], so woe unto the disbelievers [those who gave false witness by saying that 'Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allah] from the meeting of a great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection, when they will be thrown in the blazing Fire).

38 How clearly will they (polytheists and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) see and hear, the Day when they will appear before Us! But the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) today are in plain error.
    Surah Maryam (19): 16-38

All that I have said is out of gratitude and jealousy for my Lord God most High. Anything correct that I have said, is out of favor from Him alone, and all mistakes I have committed are out of the meddlings of the Devil and I seek God's forgiveness and refuge. Peace upon all those who seek and adhere to guidance. Walhamdulillahi rabbil alameen (And all praise is due to God, Lord of all mankind)

    • Pastor L.S. Glover says:

I hate Islam. It is a false religion. Muslims persecute Christians because the truth is a threat to that false relgion Islam. Christianity is older than islam. muhammad was a whore and a child sexual predator. Women are inferior in islam and their men dominate their women. they treat their woman like children. the devil created islam after christianity to deceive people. Christianity is much better than islam. Jesus raised from the dead, but mohammad is still in his grave and have rot to dust. muhammad never perform miracles and great healings. Jesus raised the dead, healed the sick, cast out demons, fed five thousand men not including their wives and children with two fishes and five loads of bread. Jesus is an atonment for sins but in islam their is not atonement for sins. islam is a nasty dirty and awful religion. i hate islam i hate islam I wish the religion will be abolish. you take those false scriptures and burn it with fire. I rebuke islam in the name of Jesus Christ the true and the living God. I rebuke and curse islam in the name of Jesus Christ.

      • Umm Khaled says:

Lovely language "Pastor"! I'm so sure that you managed to bring more into "Christianity" with such lovely, colorful language and devilish hate. I wonder if you stopped for a moment and asked WWJD (What would Jesus Do). You're just another person brain washed by what the media gives. This issue of the Prophet's wife (may the blessings of Allah be upon him and be pleased with her) is only a new issue. It wasn't until the turn of the centry that people started to dwell on this because, before that, it was the norm for women to marry young. And for sure, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was more mature than the average sack of meat ya'll have galavanting around the streets in the name of "freedom" and "liberation". I really don't have to justify anything to you because it is indeed pointless. It is not the idea you have issues with, your ignorance runs a lot deeper than that and they've blinded you beyond reason. If it is one thing Islam taught me is, if you have nothing good to say, KEEP SILENT. Allah also instructed us to debate in a respectful manner with kindness and mercy, something you clearly fail to do here.
And sorry to burst your bubble but Islam will not and cannot ever be abolished :) ) It is confirming the TRUTH that came before from the beginning of creation and the Message ended at Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Jesus indeed did not die but Allah raised him up onto Himself so that he would return again to settle this argument between us and you. I'm sorry but I love Jesus a zillion times more than you because I respect and follow the message he came with GOD IS ONE and NONE has the right to be worshipped but He.
