A Turkmen national, after visiting a nation which is influenced by Christian values, has said, “Now I know what freedom really is”. Let us continue to pray that the Spirit of Christ will set more people free in Turkmenistan. The government of Turkmenistan is one of the worst persecutors of Christians in the world.

Turkmenistan has one of the most oppressive regimes of the world. The former president Saparmurat Niyasov instituted a bizarre personality cult. He erected gold plated statues of himself. Christian missionaries have been expelled by the Turkmen government. Religious activities have been highly repressed. This is surviving in Turkmenistan, Central Asia.
